ICT Officer Job Overall Purpose

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance & Administration the incumbent will be responsible for leading and directing the Information Communication Technology function of the School.
The position will provide the School with relevant modern and enhanced the Information Technology to leverage its business and operations.

• Possess a Master’s degree in information technology from a recognized university.
• Have at least 5 years experience 3 of which should be at a managerial level in a similar environment.
• Have experience in systems analysis, design, and implementation.
• Have the ability to train users.
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
• Have the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Registered member of a recognised professional body
• Having experience in the following areas will be an added advantage;
• Performance Contracting in the public sector, ISO 9001 quality standards, and Staff performance management using the Balanced Score Card or other management
  tools.

Our client an international IT company specialized in development and implementation projects for the financial sector is looking to fill the position of an ICT Project Manager.
Qualification:

• Must have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science/ Economics or equivalent.
• Must have5 years of similar experience in the software industry and good understanding of IT fundamentals.
• Proven experience in creating and managing business and project related documentation.
• Experience in requirements development, customer interaction and compilation of multi-source information.
• Skills to present information in a clear and structured way, both in verbal and written form.
• Excellent analytical skills to understand the macro parameters and at the same time to pay attention to the details.

The officer will head the Information, Communication and Technology unit and will be responsible to the County Chief Officer – Public Service Management & ICT for the establishment of information management functions of the County.
Specific duties will include:
Providing ICT services to the County government;
System analysis and design, developing and implementing computerized information management systems in the County;
Adherence to standards and procedures for ICT systems development projects,

• Those with a Certificate/Diploma in Sales and Marketing, or an equivalent qualification in a related field will have an added advantage.
• A clean and valid Driving License class FG
• Certificate of good conduct

• Must be a competent rider ready to do a road test
